Thank You Greg and Leslie

We made arrangements to meet Greg and Leslie at their home for breakfast. It was a breakfast extraordinaire. A new breakfast casserole recipe, with fresh fruit salad, sticky buns, orange juice and coffee. A breakfast fit for royalty. They do spoil us. And then they had a travel snack bag ready for us to take on our continued road trip. You can tell people who travel and know what makes for a good trip. Leslie the cookies were the first to go. They are my favorite. I did share with Peter.

It was so good to see them again. They shared their photos of their trip. A lot of great memories.

Greg is suffering from being a landlubber this spring and making plans for the upcoming summer trip to Canada and Georgian Bay. We look forward to sharing our favorite anchorages with them.
We tried to invite them to join us for our trip from Port Charlotte to Marathon Key. They crossed thru the Okeecgobee, so this would be a new sailing area. And as old sailors, they may even enjoy a sailboat trip.

There was freezing rain for the morning commuters, but we waited for awhile for the weather to clear. Had a good drive to Greg and Leslie's. By the time we had finished our visit, the temps had rose and we had a great drive to Richmond, Va. Chose a Sleep Inn for the night, and it ended up we had stayed here last year. Sleep Inn is our new favorite.

The weather this morning is great. First time without a coat. Another toque toss, followed by the coat toss. Not too far away, as it is unusual to be this warm at this time of year. We will enjoy it while we can, and perhaps we will get to where these temps are normal before it changes.

We will drive on to Charleston SC to visit with more friends. Plan a visit to a Harbor Freight outlet that is about 25 miles down the road. I remember when the drive to Florida took 2-3 days. Now we will be lucky to make the trip in a week. Too many friends to visit. You can never have too many good friends.
